Block 2 (at last)

Wow were those leaves daunting - and I haven't sewn them yet! This was a hard block to pin up - it looks like a random collection of green bits, I can't get the placement right on the felt. But I like he overall colour of it. Corliss told me that the background is in - so I will get it sometime this week. But I'm thinking I might continue to cut and pin rather than sew. I already have plenty of that to do. I will do the bride next. I have really been enjoying seeing all the different colours and variations to the original that people are doing. Can you imagine a gallery of all these when finished? Cheers, Deb

  1. Yes, it looks daunting with that many leaves. I like the colours of your leaves and the smoky pink flowers look great - Hugs Natima

  3. I love your pink flowers, it will be nice to see someone using the same background fabric. I have to say it's just as well that I have'nt got to go to Threadbear, with all those gorgeous new patterns I might be in trouble!!

  6. Hi Deb,

I really love the look of your pinks! I'm having a little trouble finding just the right pinks in my stash to go with my darker background. I told myself in the beginning that I would only pull fabrics from my stash, but some of my paler ones won't work. May have to go shopping...

Your lovely leaves will be so worth the effort so hang in there!! I can't wait to see your colors on your background.

    In stitches,
    Teresa :o)
