Block #2

My block #2 is finished.  Like those of you who made this block, I thought I'd never get done with all the leaves.  I had orginally planned to eliminate some of the leaves in each block, but I guess the charm of the quilt got to me, and I made each and every one of them in this block.  Whew...........but it's finished.

  1. your block looks very beautiful, and i can tell you, there are lots of leaves more to sew in this quilt, happy stitching, susi

  2. I think it's a sort of indoctrination!! LOL! Looks great though Linda and I love the colours, well done..

  3. Linda your block is beautiful, lovely white flowers and I like your leaves. I can see you put your heart in this block.

  4. Hi Linda,
Great block! I love the little French knots around the flower centers. Your technique and fabric choices are wonderful. Yes, there are an insane amount of leaves in this quilt...become one with the leaves...

  5. Hi Linda,
You are absolutely right, an important block for the charm of this quilt. Nice embroidery touches. On to the next one...
    Happy Stitching,

  6. Wonderful! White flowers are really nice.

  7. Lots of leaves on this block and well done.

  8. Thank you for your lovely and encouraging comments. I think I'm getting addicted to this quilt. I can't seem to put it down. I'm on to the next block - it's the other one with oh so many leaves and the white, red, & blue flowers. I figured since I was on a roll with leaves, I may as well keep going and get the other leafy one done. Your nice comments are helping me to stay enthused about this quilt. Thank you again.

  9. Hi Linda,

I also love this block. The white flowers simply pop out. I also love the embroidery touches. Very elegant! Well done!
