Block 4

Good Morning, I hope everyone had a wonderful day to give thanks for all the beauty in our world and perhaps got to stitch a little too. I got a chance to sit down and finish my block 4.  I changed the birds rotation to soar upwards, I too thought it looked like a dead bird falling from the sky.  Perhaps that was the grooms block.  I have block 5 well under way.  ~ Susan

  1. Nice block Susan, I really liked doing this one with big leaves after the first three blocks of the quilt. Have fun with block 5.
    Happy Stitching,

  2. I really like you block! I think I will also have my bird "soar". I am really enjoying all the beautiful photos of blocks. It inspires me to keep sewing.

  3. Susan,
Your block looks wonderful.. I like the bird soaring upward also. And I must say, my husband no longer calls it the "dead bird falling from the sky block" as he once did; now I just have to get him to stop focusing on block 16 as the "vulture block".... maybe I jsut need to keep him out of my sewing room!

  4. Beautiful block, Susan. I love the colors!

    Greetings from the Rhine,

  5. Lovely soaring bird!! Beautiful colors and definitely more cheerful looking in that orientation. My step-mother got a first hand look at my bride over Thanksgiving and wants one something AWFUL...may have to make her a smaller version as a wall hanging...

    In stitches,
    Teresa :o)
