My first post

I love needleturn applique and reproduction fabrics, so earlier in the year I purchased this pattern and all the fabrics for this quilt. I guess being associated with this blog I'll be more motivated to complete this quilt.
Here are the two blocks I have completed so far.

  1. Your first 2 blocks are great, love the big red apples! You will really enjoy making this quilt. I have to ration myself with these blocks otherwise I will not get any other project done. Am also doing the Roseville quilt and am secretly eyeing a baltimore quilt. Happy New Year from Holland, where the snow is melting. Boo....

  2. Your first 2 blocks are beautiful. What a gorgeous bride! I'm glad you are going to share your progress with us - it is very inspiring :0)

  3. Welcome to the blog! Your first two blocks are lovely. I also like those big red apples ... they are such nice contrast with the blue flowers in block 1 and compliment the bride's pink/red outfit.

Keeping connected with everyone on this blog has helped me to keep making more blocks. I find I can't wait to see how everyone is interpreting the pattern with all the different fabric choices.

  4. Lovely blocks Celia, I love the brides colours, gorgeous. Welcome again,

  5. Welcome Celia, your blocks are very pretty. I really like the background fabric you choose. Cute striped pantaloons on your bride.
    Happy Stitching,

Thanks to everyone that is following our journey with the Civil War Bride Quilt. We love to read your comments and appreciate your encouragement...............
