Yes, I really love the ombre blue (it's a Dargate Divinity) - especially with its diagonal swizzle.
What do you think of the leaves? I am fussy-cutting from a pink and green fabric. I like that too, but maybe not with the bright yellow of the tulips. Should I change the tulip colour to red?
What about the other flowers to be added at the top?
I am going to continue with the leaves - I like them. And I don't want to change the blue urn.
I look forward to your words of wisdom. Thanks everyone...

Don't half the blocks make an odd shape to photograph. (Can I just repeat that? That's half the blocks). LOL!!
Yes, I have started another one, but I will need to put it down for some deadlines. I've got a binding to make!

As I've been stitching I've been day dreaming about doing the quilting on this charming quilt. With so much applique on each block, I can't picture how to fit any quilting on it, except maybe sitich in the ditch on the outside of each block, and quiting in the borders, and I know that's probably not enough quilting. What have the others of you been thinking you're going to do? And how about those who finished your quilt? Did you hand or machine quilt? How did you do it? You didn't outline around each applique did you? That would give me nightmares but I sure can't figure out how to fit any quilting in other than that. Would love to hear what you did or are planning to do.

I originally wasn't going to put the eye feathers on her tail thinking that then she'd look too much like a male peacock because of the bright blue fabric I had in my stash for the eye feathers. I thought maybe the base tail fabric I planned to use would be good enough without having eye feathers because it's kind of wispy and feathery looking. When I showed her to my husband both with and without the eyes layed on the tail, he thought she didn't look enough like she was in the peacock family without the eye feathers. So I "tea-dyed" the bright blue eye tail fabric I planned to use (using strong coffee because it seems darker to me) and put the eyes feathers on afterall. Hope she doesn't look too much like a male since she's kind of bright. Maybe just think of her as a confident female or a female with bling .................. ;-)
