My third block finished, block 2

Yes I know it is over the top, and it is the weirdest plant ever. I wasn't really looking forward to making this block, which is why I did the strawberries first....
Then I got the idea of using whatever colours I would like, and this is the result. A totally new type of flower for which they haven't yet invented a name....:o)))
Anyway, I'm happy and ready to prepare the next block!

Enjoy your day!

  1. That looks fabulous...I'm always making up flora and fauna that doesn't exist! Absolutely beautiful!

    In stitches,
    Teresa :o)

  2. They may not have a name for this plant we can name it! How about Janie Walie? It looks great and that is what counts.

  3. I love the flowers most especially the bright centers. they look great.

  4. Can anyone tell me how to handle the leaf overlapping on the bottom right hand side of the block?

  5. Beautiful block, the colors are just great, iridescent. You have made this rather plain block special.
    Happy Stitching,

  6. Very unique and creative use of colors! To Jane in Wales from Jane in Texas.

  7. I like your ideia of the centre of the flowers being reverse applique and also the colour of the stems not been just green... I'm try that when I do that block!

  8. Ooh! Jane, just adore those red centers and the flowers. It is wonderful that everyone makes these blocks their very own. Great job! Can't wait to see your other blocks in progress.
