Top Finished

One year and a week ago I posted my first block, this evening I finished the last few leaves on the bottom border!
I hardly believe I have all the applique finished. This has been such a fun journey. The blog has been the best. I am on to the quilting, I am going to machine quilt this quilt. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, for all of your comments, suggestions, and encouragement.
Happy Stitching,
Cheri

  6. Yahoo! This is just STUNNING!! It is so beautifully balanced in color and design. Isn't it amazing what you can get done in a year? The workmanship is so amazing, and I just adore the block with the sheep! I can't wait to see how you quilt it, and I'll bet that will be a totally enjoyable process.

Now THAT'S the way to get it DONE!

    Now, who's next?!?

    In stitches,

It was a year well spent! The quilt is absolutely beautiful. You have done a wonderful job to get it done. And I love the personalization of the blocks. Now, we will expect to see the pictures of the quilting. Hopefully that will not take another year! Great job.

What a lovely accomplishment, Cheri, a nice reminder of a year well spent. Your finished top is an incentive to all of us still stitching blocks with no borders yet in sight.

  18. I love your quilt top. You have done such a nice job of arranging your blocks. I think the original one by Threadbear is great, but I like yours even better....I notice that you have turned the "dead bird" upright like I did.

  19. Beautiful quilt! Aren't quilters amazing? Who else is content to work on something for a year or more and find such contentment in the process? In this world of instant gratification quilters are truly unique. Your time was well-spent on a keepsake quilt. Congratulations!
