In the end I used an overlay to place and applique the feathers. I was pleased with the results :0) I really liked Lurline and Teresa's birds so I tried to draw mine to look like theirs. Bird of Paradise block
I am so happy to have this block finished! It took me a long time to work up the courage to make that tail.
In the end I used an overlay to place and applique the feathers. I was pleased with the results :0) I really liked Lurline and Teresa's birds so I tried to draw mine to look like theirs. He is gorgeous, I too put him off, was frightened to start, but ended up really enjoying him, only 5 leaves was areal bonus. No, you are not alone having trouble leaving comments, I have all but finished my last block, and still cannot get a photograph onto the blog!
ReplyDeleteJanet, the tail feathers turned out beautiful. It was an intimidating block to begin. I have had some trouble with blogger also, sometimes it helps me to not check the remember me box and just sign in every time.

Great job on the bird, it looks great. I too have difficulty posting on this blog if I am using Firefox. But on Internet Explorer it is OK. Can't figure out why.
