Hungry Peacocks

This was a fun block to do!  I know those birds sure wish they could see what they are eating!  I've been thinking of using a black yarn with a candle wicking type knot and add white, gold, or brown for pupils.  Any suggestions?

My next blocks

It´s been a while since my last post, but here are:
Block 5
Block 10
and Block 8

I have already made three more blocks, but they are not really complete. little things are still missing, like the crowns of the peacocks for example. As soon I have finished it, I´ll show it to you.

A special table

...with cherries and apples to enjoy!  I've made the fringe on the tablecloth to match the red and gold paisley print.  It took a bit of time--but I'm pleased with the results!  Now--onto the double bird eating some apples!

The Eagles have arrived!

I've some finishing details to do still--like trim out some fabric under-layers, add some very strong birdie talons and do embroidery for eyes...yes-- they are a proud pair of golden eagles!!

Block #11 - the Robin & Possible Layout to Complete My Quilt

Here is a picture of the last block I worked on.  Block #11 - the Robin.  It's the 16th block that I've made.  Since my CWB quilt has been in process for about 4 1/2 years, and helping raise my grandson is competing with completing it per the pattern, I've been weighing my options.  I've decided to call it good, and start on the borders.  The second picture is a possible layout for the 16 blocks.  I'd love your feedback.

Only a little bit of progress on my CWB quilt

I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted a picture.  I've been kind of distracted by the care of our baby grandson so my quilting has slowed down significantly this year.  He is such a joy that I don't really mind though.  I've only made a little bit of progress on my CWB quilt.  It's motivating to see that there are still several who are working on their CWB quilt - hopefully it will help me keep at it too.

The Groom has arrived!

I'm evaluating whether to embroider or to ink in facial details?
Next block...the golden eagles!
